Location
Msuna Island is situated in middle Zambezi, between Deka and Milibizi. The island is approximately 170 km from Victoria Falls, so that will be a 2 hour drive on a well-kept tar road with only the last 15 km being dirt.

Travel Advise.

From Johannesburg there are several travel options. Flying here is definitely the most comfortable and easiest option. Fly to Victoria Falls or Livingstone Airport and we will arrange transfers accordingly.

Flights to Livingstone Airport work out cheaper but just remember that if you are traveling with an EU passport you will need to pay for another Visa to enter Zambia. The traveling time when having to cross another border post might also delay you a bit.

For those that would like a fly to in with their own chatter flights ... you have two options. For smaller aircrafts, you can land at the Deka Air-strip or for the bigger aircrafts at the Hwange Town Air-strip.

By road, Msuna Island is appox. 1300 km from Johannesburg. Entering Zimbabwe through Beitbridge and from there to Bulawayo continue to Hwange then turn right to Msuna. Alternatively travel to Botwana where you can use a much quieter border post at Martin's Drift, pass through Francistown and enter Zimbabwe through Plumtree border post. From there it's approx. 90 km to Bulawayo and then a further 450 km to Msuna.
